Two of our Ladies have won their way through to the finals at Leamington Spa.
On Sunday 13th March our Club hosted the above competition. Much hard work had to be done on the pistes in preparation for the event including creating an extra 11th piste needed for the competition. 23 of the best teams in the Western Region of England and Wales entered.
The morning’s play was a Round Robin format, the top pairs to go through to the prestigious gold group, then silver and bronze groups respectively for the afternoon’s knockouts.
At the end of the day the top four groups in the gold group would qualify for the finals to be held at Royal Leamington Spa in August.
Gill Brooks and Chris Saunders did qualify for the gold group after fantastic rounds in the morning’s Round Robins and finished 3rd after an exciting afternoon’s play, so will now go on to the final on 6th August.
Mary Hughes and Elaine Sharp also played extremely well finishing top of the silver group.
